Find the right Wolf CWL replacement filters

A Wolf CWL filter must match the specific unit and filter position. The number alone is not enough: CWL-300 Excellent and CWL-F-300 Excellent use different sets. Check the identification label on the unit or its operating manual before ordering.

• Write down the complete model name, including Excellent and any F or T designation.
• Check the product page for the compatible unit, supply filter and extract filter.
• Compare length, width and thickness in millimetres, as well as the filter construction.
• Check whether your chosen set contains two coarse filters or a coarse filter paired with a finer supply filter.

A finer replacement can have different dimensions from a coarse filter for the same unit. Use the stated model compatibility as well as measurements; do not select a filter just because it looks similar.

If you have recently moved into the property, check the unit itself rather than relying only on a previous order or handover note. A photograph of the identification label is useful when asking for help, especially if the existing filters have no readable markings.

Wolf CWL 300 and 400 Excellent filters

The Wolf CWL-300 Excellent and CWL-400 Excellent share the sets listed here. Choose the CWL-300/400 Excellent G4+G4 filter set for coarse filtration on both sides. Both filters measure 525 × 185 × 5 mm.

The CWL-300/400 Excellent G4+F7 filter set pairs a 525 × 185 × 5 mm extract filter with a 525 × 185 × 24 mm F7 supply filter. This is the finer supply-air option for these models. Check that your unit is the Excellent version; older CWL-300 and CWL-400 units require a separate compatibility check.

Wolf CWL 180 Excellent filters

Wolf CWL-180 Excellent filters come as G3+G3 or G3+M6 sets. The G3+G3 option contains two 290 × 136 × 5 mm filters. Choose the CWL-180 Excellent G3+M6 filter set for finer supply-air filtration: it combines a 290 × 136 × 5 mm G3 extract filter with a 290 × 136 × 25 mm M6 supply filter. Select this model-specific option rather than assuming an F7 filter from another CWL unit will fit.

Wolf CWL F 150 Excellent filters

The CWL-F-150 Excellent takes its own compact filter set. Its G4+G4 option uses two 175 × 143 × 5 mm filters. The CWL-F-150 Excellent G4+F7 set retains that extract-filter size and adds a 164 × 132 × 20 mm F7 supply filter. Notice that the finer filter differs in length and width as well as depth.

Wolf CWL F 300 and T 300 Excellent filters

The sets labelled CWL-F/T-300 Excellent cover the CWL-F-300 Excellent and CWL-T-300 Excellent. Choose G4+G4 with two 245 × 177 × 5 mm filters, or the CWL-F/T-300 Excellent G4+F7 set with a 245 × 177 × 5 mm extract filter and a 234 × 166 × 20 mm supply filter. These are different from the CWL-300/400 Excellent sets.

Choose the filter grade for your home

G3 and G4 for coarse dust filtration

G3 and G4 filters collect larger airborne particles such as dust and lint. A coarse filter on the extract side helps limit dust reaching the unit from rooms inside your home. Sets with coarse filters on both sides also filter larger particles from incoming outdoor air.

Choose the grade and construction specified for your model. G3 and G4 are filter classes, not sizes, so matching a class alone does not establish compatibility.

The supply filter treats outdoor air before it travels into the living spaces. The extract filter treats air leaving the rooms before it passes through the unit. Keep these roles separate when fitting a mixed-grade set, even if the two filter positions appear similar.

M6 and F7 for finer supply air filtration

If pollen or outdoor airborne dust is a concern, consider the finer supply filter offered for your unit. Our CWL-180 Excellent range uses M6, while the other listed model families have F7 options. The extract filter remains coarse in these paired sets.

The listed M6 supply filter is rated ISO ePM10 50%; the listed F7 supply filters are rated ISO ePM1 55%. These are product-specific ratings. They should not be treated as universal conversions between the older EN 779 classes and ISO 16890, which use different test methods.

Particle filters do not remove every pollutant. They do not provide gas or odour filtration, and finer filtration does not make indoor air sterile. Always use a compatible option suitable for the airflow requirements of your unit.

When to replace Wolf ventilation filters

For the house-brand Wolf replacement filters sold here, we recommend planning replacements around every three to six months, adjusted to their condition and your environment. This is our maintenance recommendation; follow the instructions for your specific Wolf unit and respond to its filter alerts.

Inspect filters sooner during nearby building work, dusty weather or periods of heavy pollen. The supply and extract filters can become dirty at different rates because they handle different air streams. Check both, even when only one looks particularly dusty.

A loaded filter can restrict airflow. Replace damaged or heavily soiled filters promptly, and investigate persistent ventilation problems rather than assuming a new filter will resolve every fault. Keep a note of installation dates to make the next check easier to remember.

2. Note the supply and extract positions before removing the old filters.

5. Close the access panel, restore operation and reset the filter reminder as instructed.

Ensure filters sit properly in their holders without gaps or forced fitting. Never run the unit with filters missing. Routine filter changes also do not replace the wider servicing described in the unit manual.

The products in this range are EU-made house-brand replacements for the specified Wolf models. They are identified as house brand on each listing. Check the compatibility, dimensions and filtration rating when comparing them with an original filter.

Can I wash the filters and reuse them

Do not wash a replacement filter unless its own instructions explicitly permit it. Some unit manuals allow interim cleaning of certain filter types, but this does not make every replacement washable. Cleaning also does not remove the need for eventual replacement.

Can I order spare sets for later
