Model compatibility
This category includes filter sets compatible with all major Itho Daalderop MVHR ventilation units, including:
- HRU ECO series
To ensure the right fit, it’s important to know the exact model of your ventilation unit, as different models require different filters. You’ll find helpful tips on identifying your device in the FAQ section.
Filter types and what they protect against
Our replacement filter sets for Itho Daalderop units are designed to ensure optimal air quality and system performance by offering separate sets with G4 or F7 filters:
- G4 filters (ISO Coarse 65%) on the extract and supply side: ideal for capturing larger particles like soil particles, large pollen grains, plant debris, insect wings, sawdust, sand and textile lint.
- F7 filters (ISO ePM2.5 70%) on the extract and supply side: high-efficiency filters that capture very fine particles, including bacteria, smog, tobacco smoke particles, combustion dust, spores, and wildfire smoke particles.
Usage and maintenance
To keep your MVHR system running efficiently and your indoor air clean, we recommend replacing the filters every 3–6 months. However, this depends on your environment, if you have pets, or nearby construction.
To make the process easy, we provide step-by-step replacement instructions for each filter model. You can find them under the “How to change” tab on every product page.
Manufacturing quality you can trust
The original Itho Daalderop filters are manufactured in the Netherlands, combining Dutch engineering precision with high standards of indoor comfort, air quality, and environmental responsibility. Our carefully developed house brand filters are also made in the European Union by certified manufacturers. Both are produced with high-quality materials, under strict ISO 16890 standards to ensure high filtration performance and reliability.

Do HRU and WPU units use the same filter class, or does the heat pump integration change the filter grade needed?

HRU and WPU units use the same M5/F7 filtration convention, since the heat pump integration in WPU systems affects runtime rather than the filter grade required. The main practical difference is that WPU filters may need checking slightly earlier, given the additional runtime hours from continuous ventilation.
How fast can you deliver Itho Daalderop filters within the Netherlands?

Itho Daalderop filters typically ship within a few business days to addresses across the Netherlands. Given how common HRU and WPU installations are in Dutch new-build housing, we keep standard filter classes for both series in stock to avoid delays.
My Itho Daalderop unit is integrated with a heat pump — does that change filter maintenance?

The ventilation filters themselves are maintained independently of the heat pump function, but because WPU systems run ventilation continuously to support both heating and air quality, filters in combined units can see slightly more runtime hours per year than stand-alone MVHR units — worth checking on the shorter end of the 3–6 month range.
What filter class fits an Itho Daalderop HRU unit?

HRU units typically use an M5 filter on the extract side and an F7 (ePM1) filter on the supply side, matching Dutch building regulation recommendations for balanced ventilation systems. Both grades are available in original and house brand versions.
Which Itho Daalderop units does your catalogue cover?

We stock filters for Itho Daalderop's two most popular series:
- HRU — the standalone balanced ventilation range
- WPU — ventilation integrated with a heat pump system
Both are widely installed across Dutch new-build housing, and the model code is generally printed on a sticker inside the unit's front cover.
