Do Electrolux ventilation filters come with an activated carbon layer for odour and VOC control?
Standard Electrolux MVHR filters focus on particulate filtration (dust, pollen, fine particles) rather than odour control, but a carbon-layer supply filter is available as an upgrade for households near busy roads or with strong cooking odours. It's fitted alongside the standard filtration stage rather than replacing it.
Why do original Electrolux MVHR filters cost more, and are compatible alternatives just as effective?
Original Electrolux-branded filters carry a premium largely tied to brand packaging and distribution rather than filtration performance. Our compatible alternatives are manufactured to the same M5/F7, ISO 16890-certified specification and cut to identical dimensions, so filtration performance and airflow are unaffected.
What filter class should I choose for an Electrolux MVHR unit?
Electrolux units generally support the standard M5 (coarse) and F7/ePM1 (fine) filter combination. Households in urban areas or with allergy sufferers often opt for the F7-class supply filter to capture pollen and fine dust more effectively.
Are Electrolux ventilation filters the same as their appliance filters?
